Yue (Lyla) Luo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at San José State University (SJSU). She is the director for the Biomechanics, and Ergonomics in Environment-Persons Interaction and Collaboration Laboratory (BE-EPIC) Lab. Dr. Yue Luo received her Ph.D. degree in ISE from the University of Florida in 2023. Her research focuses on human-centered evaluation in multi-agent systems. This includes assessing physical and physiological interactions between non-human agents (e.g., robotic arms, autonomous vehicles, etc.) and humans from diverse demographics (e.g., older adults, students with learning disability, etc.) using wearable technologies (e.g., virtual reality system, inertial sensors, etc.).
