Joumana Zeid is a biopharmaceutical executive with two decades of experience leading cross-functional teams and advancing innovative therapies across multiple therapeutic areas. She is currently the Vice President of Program Leadership at Mirum Pharmaceuticals, where she oversees the strategy and execution of clinical-stage programs in rare diseases.
Before joining Mirum, Joumana served in senior program and portfolio leadership roles at Carmot Therapeutics and Federation Bio, where she helped shape and advance pipelines in metabolic and microbiome-based therapeutics. At Federation Bio, she led cross-functional development teams and built core operational and strategic capabilities as the company transitioned from research into the clinic. She continued this work at Carmot as Vice President of Portfolio Strategy, driving strategic alignment and advancing the company’s metabolic programs.
Earlier in her career, Joumana held roles of increasing responsibility at Aimmune Therapeutics, Achaogen, and Plexxikon. She began her career at Genentech, gaining broad experience in bioprocess development, device development, and portfolio management and operations.
Joumana holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from San José State University and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
