Senior Thermal Engineer

Arista Networks

Gargi Kailkhura is a Senior Thermal Engineer at Arista Networks with about 10-14 years of experience across research and industry. Her journey from being one of only three women in a class of nearly 200 engineering students to becoming a globally recognized thermal expert reflects both technical depth and impact. She specializes in the thermal management of optics, high-power network switches, power-electronics and air- and liquid-cooled data-center systems using CFD. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has authored several publications, holds patents, and contributed to award-winning products. Besides work, she is actively involved in organizing IEEE conferences, including ITherm, and believes future AI systems will scale with watts and thermals.
