Tianyang Zhou’s research aims to improve energy efficiency, mechanical reliability, and multi-functionality of air and spacecraft in extreme environments. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University and is interested in smart materials and structural batteries designed for space applications. She also enjoys exploring global cuisines, practicing traditional Chinese martial arts, or planning her next adventure to a U.S. national park.
